Dorken Coatings Approved For Volvo Specs

Supplier’s inorganic sealer and basecoat/topcoat approved for Volvo specification number VCS 5737,19.

Ann Arbor, MI—Dörken Corporation USA, manufacturer of non-chrome micro layer corrosion protections systems has announced that Volvo has approved three of its products to meet specification number VCS 5737,19 surface treatment standards. The standard covers different treatment classes with the treated component being determined by the current requirements for finish and environment. The standard covers coatings free from hexavalent chromium for corrosion protection of threaded iron and steel parts with friction requirements.

The approved products are Dörken Delta-Protekt® VH-353 inorganic sealer, Delta-Protekt® KL 100 basecoat and Delta-Protekt® VH-302 topcoat. The VH-350 series are topcoats for electroplated zinc and zinc alloys with suitable passivation, stainless steel, aluminum and its alloys with passivation and magnesium with passivation. The KL-100 series are inorganic basecoats suitable for steel, steel with suitable passivation, iron and steel castings. The VH-300 series are specially designed as a topcoat for zinc-flake systems.
